JURO LEALTAD A LA BANDERA

I first wrote this piece in 1996 for my Amadeus Boys Choir.

This composition celebrates the United States Pledge of Allegiance

and Hispanic immigrants and 2nd and 3rd generation United States citizens

who appreciate this Country and the freedoms enjoyed here while retaining some of their cultural heritage in language and music.

The text is the Pledge in Spanish.

A spoken descant translates the Spanish into English.

This work is perfect for beginning choirs, as it includes a simple and limited 2nd part.

The vocal range is Middle C4 to D5, with an F5 in the ending.

Purchase of the piece includes rights for unlimited performances by the purchaser's choir.

Attribution must be given in writing in programs, or announced if there is no printed program.

A digital copy of the program must be provided to me.

Video of performances is highly desirable.

Video or audio of your group's performances of the work, in full or in part,

may be posted on this site with information about your organization, with your permission.
